Even metals can be electrostatically charged

AsSalyamu `Aleykum wa RahmatuLlahi wa Barakatuh,

Equipment: Piece of wool, plastic plate, metal spade fixed to a plastic handle, two pencils

1. Place two pencils one across the other.

2. Rub plastic plate against wool (for at least a minute - better more)
3. Rub your metal spade against plastic plate

What happened: The electrostatically charged metal spade will attract pencil

As you see, even metals can become electrostatically charged through rubbing.
