Electrostatically charged plastic attracts the electroscope pointer

AsSalyamu `Aleykum wa RahmatuLlahi wa Barakatuh,

Equipment: electroscope, plastic plate, wool

1. Rub plastic plate against wool

2. Put plastic plate to the piece of paper

The plastic plate will attract the pointer. The same experiment can be done with a comb, a piece of glass or sealing-wax. Through rubbing, the bodies become electrostatically charged.
